In this first newsletter I'm sharing the first results of the waiting list survey, why we're not yet taking pre-orders, and how a 3D design of the sock is making things more real.
First results of the waiting list survey
The survey everybody on the waitlist filled out identifies 7 top issues clearly, which I'll be focusing on during product development.

When are you taking pre-orders?
To develop the TINF sock, I'm having samples made by manufacturers. What's most important is the consistency and quality of these samples.
The first 2 samples weren't up to snuff. I realize that vetting and instructing the manufacturer should happen very diligently. I also learned that the quality of the raw material (= lyocell fiber) and the yarn are as crucial.
I'm now changing my strategy by directly reaching out to Lenzing (the company behind Tencel™ lyocell) to recommend suppliers.
3D design of the sock
Lastly, I've begun designing the sock in 3D to improve communication with manufacturers. 🙂 Additionally, it looks pretty good on the eye, am I right?
